sandpaper sand castle

Ella loved coloring on the sand paper to create a sand castle.  We attached a flag with a toothpick and then added shells and other details after gluing the sand castle to blue paper.  (This is how the project look before the shells and other collage materials were added.)

Oh my gosh! if this isn't creative I don't know what is! My students love creating "spaces" 3D or designing them. I'm thinking now of an ant hill with sand paper and they can draw the inside view of the ants house. . . now I must find a literacy connection!!! hehehe
Thank YOU!!!
